300

A bunch of sexy men swinging swords, bloodbath, violence...are these what people want to see nowadays? Why are most of the reviews positive? Am I being lame when I choose not to watch it? Should I go with the flow? Despite all the positive comments from the critics, I personally think it's not worth my 2 hours. Why would I spend a ticket on something I cannot see myself enjoying...sigh...

No disagreement with you there! That movie looks awful.

I have been using John Wu's analogy. I thought it's pretty convincing until now I guess.

Girls are there to watch the half naked guys.

Guys are there to watch the blood.

Either way, would make this movie 'hot', wouldn't it?

Correction, I said...

Girls are there to watch hot guys in bikini

Guys are there to watch giant elephants running around

Personally, I think it's a guys' movie. So I politely asked my boss to stay home and enjoy what she normally do on a Sunday... surf Internet/Sleep/Watch TV. Let me go watch it without her complaining on the way home :)

But that's just me

I ended up sitting at the theatre an hour before the movie started, just to save the rows for Ray's friends. And for the whole time, I kept my eyes shut.

i haven't watched the movie yet. but i don't think there's a problem even you don't like it. i feel the same too. i am not interested in this kind of movie neither and, it's not necessary have to with the flow. You spend money on what you really like.
